Court to Kansas: Spend More on Schools - Businessweek

Court to Kansas: Spend More on Schools - Businessweek
"Today’s state Supreme Court ruling focused on two main issues. One finding was clear-cut: The court said the budget cuts hit poorer school districts more than wealthy ones, which had more local tax revenue to supplement state support.
That created “unreasonable, wealth-based disparities” that were unconstitutional. If legislators don’t fix the problem on their own, the trial court has the right to enjoin a specific solution."

It's not rocket science, anyone who has heard and seen the southern philosophy, the end results are quite clear.

  • "In fact, as many as one in four Southern kids lives in poverty, compared to the national average of one in five. "
  • "If you want to achieve the American Dream, don't move to the South.
That's because states in the South have extremely low levels of economic

  • "Birth rates among women ages 15 to 19. In.. Southern ..."states shaded dark blue, there are more than 50 births per 1,000 teenage women."  - Huffingtonpost.com

Trey Songz - Heart Attack and Manhattans, A Comparative Analogy

Some Battles are worst than others when we lose sight of life's true values.
Togetherness is Key, Understanding is the Answer

This reminds me of another song that shall always stand the test of time.

There's no house without a home
And there's no man who wants to be alone

There's no child without a dream
And there's no song without a meaning

There's no life without a plan
Every woman wants herself a good man

There's a heartaches without tears
And time just can't go by without the years

You know there's no stars without the night
and there's no wrong without a right

There's no good without a bad
And when one man is happy , the other man is sad

That's how I know

Afro Americans should understand the current political climate of states rights is no different than historic attempts to classify those of African Decent as less than human. American of African decent must be will to stand and fight those who choose to take away their humanity, deny the acquisition of knowledge and hold as servants of men who praise and act as children of Satan.

How and why Andrew Jackson destroyed Angola (Settlement in Florida for free Africans)

How and why Andrew Jackson destroyed Angola (Settlement in Florida for free Africans)

Jackson invaded Florida in 1816, claiming national security concerns.
The future president ordered the destruction of Negro Fort, a former
British stronghold left to black allies after the War of 1812. The
demise of the Florida Panhandle outpost likely caused a population boom
for Angola, which was founded in about 1812.

Historians say finding Angola would give new insight into Florida’s role
as a safe haven for runaway slaves. It would also highlight the state’s
violent transition into a bastion of bondage.

Book People United

Book People United

If you're a Book Person, tell the world. Books open new worlds and unlock new doors. Take the Book People Unite pledge and declare your belief in the transformative power of books, especially for young minds. Encourage your friends to join the movement too by sharing online and you'll get a download of the full Book People Unite track. We'll also follow up with news on the Book People Unite movement.

Reading lovers are coming together to help us get books into the hands of kids who need them the most. Remember visiting Narnia, playing Jumanji, and eating Green Eggs and Ham? Books can have an incredible effect on children’s lives, yet there’s only one book for every 300 kids living in underserved communities in the U.S. So we’ve brought together some of our most beloved literary characters to help make this film and rally Book People for the cause.
